NAME: Patty Poe
TITLE: Customer Service Manager/Receptionist

Working as an educator within the Prince Georges and Montgomery County School Systems, Patty has been in the customer service field for over 25 years. After deciding to embark on a new career path, she became the office manager for Potomac Glass Company. She remained with the company for four years, at which time she went to work for Gaithersburg Glass Company where she also worked for a number of years. After being offered a position with Warden Upholstery, she agreed to become office manager enjoying a tenure of nearly eleven years. Patty took her position with Spartan Electric in the Fall of 2009 where she enjoys working with homeowners and builders alike to solve whatever problems they may encounter.
On a personal level, Patty is the mother of one (a daughter) and grandmother of a six year old boy and newborn twins. She enjoys stained glass, painting, various crafts, gardening, and reading. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family whenever possible.
NAME: Tom Caton
TITLE: Delivery Manager/Permit Acquisition

After owning and operating a printing business for many years, Tom brought his driving skills to Spartan Electric. Working with the purchasing manager, residential and commercial estimators, and job foreman, Tom is in charge of making sure material is accounted for, delivered to the job sites, and organized accordingly. He is also responsible for acquiring electrical permits in the appropriate counties. Keeping a tight inventory, Tom keeps the warehouse inventory organized and counted.
On a personal level, Tom enjoys eating, spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
NAME: Anthony Krietz
TITLE: Residential Estimator/Project Manager

Working in the electrical industry for over 16 years, in the field and in the office, Tony has worked at Spartan Electric since 2003. In 2008, he became a licensed master electrician in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. As the licensed Virginia Compliance Agent, Tony heads Spartan Electric’s security division. Tony handles the day to day office operations for all issues related to residential electrical work. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to: sending (competitive) bids for residential projects (single family homes, townhomes, customs homes, and small commercial structures such as pool houses, retail units, condos, and apartment buildings), negotiating contracts with builders and constructions companies, coordinating project schedules, material deliveries and manpower needs with project supervisors, and dealing with any assorted issues that may arise in the field.
On a personal level, Tony enjoys golfing, fishing, and working on muscle cars including his old Mustang. Mostly during his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching his 3 kids play sports.
NAME: John Reese
TITLE: Commercial Estimator/Senior Project Manager

After bouncing around the electrical industry for almost 20 years, John found his nitch here at Spartan electric. Starting off working on single family homes in our residential division, John worked his way up to help launch Spartan’s large scale commercial division. A master electrician in the state of Maryland since 1996, John specializes in heavy and light industrial wiring, pro logic controls, commercial estimating, multifamily and large scale remodels, green lighting, variable frequency drives, fire alarm installation, and any other large scale commercial projects. John manages several crews and oversees all the commercial work in the field.
On a personal note, John enjoys motocross, riding dirt bikes, playing golf (especially in the winter), and especially rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
NAME: Judy Brown
TITLE: Office Manager/Accounting Manager

After working at Long Fence for eight years, Judy started at Spartan Electric in February 1991. A Montgomery College Alumni, Judy is responsible for all facets of accounting such as: G/L, A/P, A/R, J/C, P/R, employee benefits, health and dental insurance, and 401K. Judy handles all the general liability, auto, and every aspect of insurance including obtaining certificates when necessary. She is responsible for making sure all licenses are updated in order to pull permits. Aside from ordering all fixtures for residential jobs, Judy backs up answering phone calls, handling service calls, pulling permits, and ordering general electrical material. End of year taxes and audits are handled through Judy as well as dealing with our legal department whenever necessary. Lastly, Judy is a notary and is in charge of purchasing/leasing various equipment (office supplies, vehicles, etc.).
On a personal note, Judy has been married to her husband David for 19 years. She has two girls, 15 and 8 years old. She is on the board of directors for the Jefferson County Youth Football League as the Secretary/Treasurer. She coaches cheerleading for the 6-13 age group as well as coaching basketball for the 6-11 age group. For the last 12 years, Judy has been on the board of directors for the New Hopewell Center for the Arts. Lastly, Judy is active with the Washington High School dance team and cheerleading squad.
NAME: Dave Norton
TITLE: Commercial Estimator/Project Manager

Starting at Spartan Electric in 1983 as a helper, David progressed through the journeyman program to earn his master electrician license in 1992. He is experienced in all aspects of commercial and residential construction. Projects completed range from townhouses and custom homes to tenant spaces all the way to mixed use high rise buildings. He has been actively working in the Washington DC metro area for over 27 years. After brief employment elsewhere he returned to Spartan Electric in 2010 to estimate and manage electrical projects.
On a personal level, David is quite the outdoorsman and enjoys watching Nascar (rooting for Jimmy Johnson), hiking, camping, and boating.
NAME: Kenneth Lemere
TITLE: Custom Residential Estimator/Senior Project Manager

Working in the electrical industry since 1993, Kenny has spent his entire electrical career at Spartan Electric. During his time at Spartan, Kenny has worked mainly in residential, but did a 5 year stint in the commercial division. Currently, Kenny is a project manager and does all of his own estimates and orders his crews’ material and fixtures. Kenny has several crews that he manages that take care of all custom remodels, additions, and some brand new custom homes, heavy ups, and home standby generator installs. Also, he has a masters license in Maryland and DC.
On a personal level, Kenny enjoys playing golf, rooting for the Vikings, Redskins, Game Cocks, and Kasey Kahne. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. On a side note, Kenny also enjoys Miller Lite bottles.
NAME: Joshua Robinson, PGA
TITLE: Vice President/Purchasing Manager

Coming to work for Spartan officially in October 2007, Josh spent most of his working career in the golf industry. Working his way up through the ranks at several golf clubs after graduating from Penn State University, he became first assistant professional at Raspberry Falls in Leesburg, VA in 2005. Before leaving for Spartan Electric, Josh was in charge of merchandising for the golf course, running and acquiring corporate golf outings, and developing and running private and group golf instruction programs. In 2008, Josh was elected into the PGA of America. He still maintains a teaching program and is tied to Raspberry Falls to keep his membership active. Since coming to work for Spartan Electric, Josh has gotten Spartan certified in security installation for Maryland and Virginia. In the winter of 2008, he took over the purchasing department which includes price comparisons, filling out purchase orders, working with the job foreman, coordinating deliveries, going to trade shows, working with sales representatives, and monitoring invoices when they arrive at the office. He is also in charge of the safety program. As Vice President, Josh is also responsible for generating new business, going to job and contractor meetings, signing contracts, signing payroll/checks, and filling in for the owner/president whenever necessary.
On a personal note, Josh enjoys playing golf, working out, reading (Clive Cussler novels), playing with his German Shepherd Jaeger, riding his waverunner, and travelling (especially to Deep Creek Lake, MD). On a side note, “WE ARE, PENN STATE!”
NAME: Robby Robinson
TITLE: Owner/Senior Estimator

Born and raised in the streets of Washington, D.C, Robby started his career at age 19 working with Northeast Electric for several years. After learning the trade, he worked on acquiring his licenses, becoming the youngest master electrician and Washington, D.C. history. Robby also holds masters licenses in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. After Northeast Electric, Robby went to work as a D.C. electrical inspector where he worked for several years. In the early 1960s, he started his own electric company, which at the time was called Robby’s Electric, and employed himself and a helper. Due to a discrepancy in names, Robby had to change the name of the company. Spartan Electric Company was chosen due to some “unofficial” national championship bets that were made in that year as Michigan State was in the national title hunt.
On a personal note, Robby loves golfing, running the business, and rooting for the Redskins and Maryland basketball.
